The art of making Flatbreads began thousands of years ago. "Roti" has become the generic name for Indian breads, and is the most basic Indian food. Traditionally made from grains, salt and water, Rotis reflect Indian history and Indian recipes for Roti are as varied as the many cultures that have blended with our own. The many varieties of healthy vegetarian 'Rotis' include the popular 'Chapati'. Rotis can be made of whole-wheat, duu or enriched flours.
